Title Bar, menus, toolbars, and a status bar
2.LayOut lets you combine multiple pieces of content together into a presentation. Whether you are
working with SketchUp models, images, or text, LayOut is the platform for bringing it all together.
3.The Document Setup dialog box is divided into five panels that are selected from the list at the
left — General, Grid, Paper, References, and Units. The General panel includes fields for typing the
layout’s name and a description.
4. One of the key features of the LayOut program is the ability to print the current document. Within
the File menu are three commands for printing the current document: Page Setup, Print Preview,
and Print.
5.New pages can be added to the current document by clicking the Add a New Page button at the
top of the panel. Selected pages can be duplicated or removed by clicking the other buttons, also at
the top of the panel.
6. You can access the customization features by choosing View ➪ Toolbars ➪ Customize.

1.The Styles browser holds all the preloaded styles that are available for use in
your current scene. You can open this browser by choosing Window and then go to styles
2.When a style thumbnail is selected, its preview is displayed at the top of the browser along with its
name and a description, if it has one. The selected styles can then be applied into the current scene
by simply clicking on the style thumbnail.
3. Each of these panes lets
you access a different set of style settings including Edge, Face, Background, Watermark, and
Modeling. The name of the current pane is displayed to the right of the pane icons.
4.The Background color swatch lets you change the background color that is applied to the entire
background
5.To add a new watermark image to the drawing, click the Add Watermark button in the Watermark
pane. This opens a file dialog box where you can browse for an image to open. The available image
formats include JPEG, PNG, TIF, TGA, and BMP.
6. If you have a style edge setting that you like that you want to add to a new style that you’re creat-
ing, you can use the Mix pane to combine different style definitions. When the Mix pane is
selected, two panes are displayed

shows a collection of sample strokes loaded from a template. These template files are image files that

applying materials, only those faces within the selection have materials applied.

right-click pop-up menu. These options include Reset, to undo any changes made with the tool;
Flip, either Left/Right or Up/Down; Rotate, 90, 180, or 270 degrees; and Undo and Redo.
