1.The Styles browser holds all the preloaded styles that are available for use in
your current scene. You can open this browser by choosing Window and then go to styles
2.When a style thumbnail is selected, its preview is displayed at the top of the browser along with its
name and a description, if it has one. The selected styles can then be applied into the current scene
by simply clicking on the style thumbnail.
3. Each of these panes lets
you access a different set of style settings including Edge, Face, Background, Watermark, and
Modeling. The name of the current pane is displayed to the right of the pane icons.
4.The Background color swatch lets you change the background color that is applied to the entire
background
5.To add a new watermark image to the drawing, click the Add Watermark button in the Watermark
pane. This opens a file dialog box where you can browse for an image to open. The available image
formats include JPEG, PNG, TIF, TGA, and BMP.
6. If you have a style edge setting that you like that you want to add to a new style that you’re creat-
ing, you can use the Mix pane to combine different style definitions. When the Mix pane is
selected, two panes are displayed
1.The Style Builder interface is similar to the other SketchUp applications that
use various menus, panels, and windows. The main interface
2.In the left window, you can switch between two panels using the tabs at the top. The Strokes panel
shows a collection of sample strokes loaded from a template. These template files are image files that
hold the various strokes. These files can be PNG, BMP, or TIFF files
3.Using these fields, you can give the style a name. This name is the name that is used
within SketchUp’s Style palette. You can also specify a Dropout length, which is the length at
which the line fades out.
4.When a new set of stroke samples is loaded into the Stroke Sample panel, the new strokes are
automatically applied to the current style, but you can selectively choose which strokes are used by
clicking and dragging strokes from the left panel to the top panel.
5.The Style Preview pane provides a quick look at the current style. The default house model can be
switched out for a different model
6.offers several ways to have the program
warn you with a dialog box when the style has a blank stroke, has no name, or when the stroke
needs to be adjusted. Choose Edit ➪ Preferences to display this dialog bo
